As an off-road icon with a distinctive silhouette that reminds the road of its rugged ability, it’s easy to see why Land Rover would revive the Defender. But that doesn’t mean the Defender 90 is just another workhorse with a premium badge.

The custom defender 90 offers something you won’t find in any other two-door SUV: personal luxury. But how does it compare to a full-size SUV like the Jeep Wrangler or Ford Bronco?
In its most basic form, the Defender 90 is a hardy, versatile machine. You can choose from a range of engine choices, and each comes with a variety of features that make it an ideal off-road companion.
For starters, the four-cylinder base P300 makes good power, and it’s rated at 18 mpg city and 21 highway by the EPA. Stepping up to the six-cylinder SE or X trims adds a lot more to the package, including air suspension, which improves off-road performance as well as on-road dynamics.
There’s also a lot to like about the interior. It’s white, rugged and a lot of the features feel off-road centric, like cubby slots, shelves and a 10-inch navigation screen behind which you can place the Meridan audio system and driver information cluster.
The high driving position gives away the Defender’s old-school nature, but it’s comfortable and doesn’t impose any unwieldy steering wheel angles. The front seats are thickly padded and there’s plenty of headroom, too.
