If you are a landlord or own a business, you should Cardiff pat testing tested regularly to ensure your electrical appliances and equipment is safe. This is important from a safety perspective and also helps to satisfy insurance companies.
A PAT test involves a visual inspection and electronic testing of electrical appliances. It is not a legal requirement, but it can help reduce the risk of accidents or fires in your premises and fulfil your responsibilities under health and safety regulations.

Our expert trainer Tim James has been involved in the industry for 30 years and is a member of the IET committee that recently updated the IET code of practice on PAT Testing. His knowledge and expertise will benefit you on your journey to becoming a professional PAT tester. He runs this course over two days, with a break for lunch each day.
No prior knowledge is required – this course starts right at the beginning. You do not need to be a qualified electrician to carry out PAT testing – and there is no exam at the end of the course.
The course covers the theory and practical aspects of PAT testing and is delivered at various locations across the UK. Delegates will learn about the hazards of electricity, appliance classes, legal requirements and IET codes of practice.
